Risk Management Center

Welcome!

Before the Internet, the worst that could happen to your data was a hard disk crash without having a current backup. Like this rock climber, the risks were simple and clearly defined.  Today,  the picture is profoundly different.

Now, the sheer intrusiveness of threats targeting every PC in your organization is making it a constant struggle to secure your business.

Unfortunately, there is no permanent 'fix' for information security; only a continuous process of adaptation.  In the movie, 'The Legend of Bagger Vance,'  golf is described as a game that cannot be won, only played.  Information Security is like golf, only harder.  The rules of golf change rarely; the rules of Information Security change constantly.  This 'game' is called Risk Management, and is a  tradeoff between the proactive costs of security technology vs. the tangible (and intangible) costs of security breaches.

Risk Management Lifecycle

The most expensive strategy for dealing with Information Security is the 'break/fix' model.  This is often associated the well-known 'do nothing, then over-react' response.

The least expensive strategy is to proactively measure, manage and monitor your risk triggers.

We can help you either way, but we would rather help you save money and spend more time at home.

"We have so many security-management consoles, we can't keep up with all the information. We have firewalls that haven't been updated in months, and reams of security logs we haven't sifted through. I really couldn't tell you whether we've been hacked or not."
