Why do I need a Vulnerability Scan?
The vulnerability scanning service is an
important tool for the network and system administrators. At the end of the
automated scanning procedure, the customer receives a highly detailed report
specifying the security holes that were discovered, their location and
impact, and how to fix them.
In addition, the report shows the complete list
of security tests that were performed. This proactive security assessment is not
confined to a certain operating system type or version. There are general
security tests, along with specific tests for Windows 9x/NT/2000, UNIX, and
Novell. Among those tests are special firewall and router checks,
application level tests and more.
The security scans do not cause any damage to
the system, or any running services. It consumes very little bandwidth and
should not have any negative effect on production machines.

Being on the Internet is like living in a high-crime city.
If you don’t have an effective monitored alarm system, you will spend most
of your time either policing the property or repairing damage.
MMS is the heart of our business,
and we believe that
independent, third-party monitoring is vital in today’s information
networks. MMS is
affordable for any business, starting at less than $100 monthly.
